Personality:
What am I like? That’s a difficult one to answer.
Generally, I am a kind and caring creature. I always see the best in people, I can’t help it. It was how I was raised and it has stuck with me since then. I was often told growing up that I was so like my mother, both in looks and in personality. Well, I am mostly like my mother. The only difference is I love adventure. I love getting out and exploring the land around me and though I’m not fussy about exactly where I explore, I adore forests or anywhere there are a lot of trees. The only rule is it has to be somewhere new. I’m also playful and enjoy the occasional, harmless trick or surprise. I do have my limits, as everyone does, and when pushed too far, I will push back and I have a slightly stubborn side, especially if I have been pushed beyond my limit.
History:
I was raised in a decent sized pack in a nice, open area near a shallow stream. There were caves to sleep in and there was always food to eat. The year I was born, it was one of the years the litter had been small. There were only four of us. All my packmates were content with the life they had been born into. But for me, every day was the same. It grew tiresome, boring. I knew the area like the back of my paw, even better than the rest of the pack. Often, I would test them, and myself, by trying to surprise them. And more often than not, I would succeed in my plan.
As I grew older, I started to explore further than I used to. I stumbled across another pack’s territory one day and they had been hunting. They weren’t happy with my ‘intruding’ and proceeded to chase me across the land. I didn’t mind, though. I saw it as fate. I had been given the escape I needed, I was free of the monotony my pack lived in...
Sample Post:
Flexing my claws, I stretch slightly then sit on the almost hard ground, eyes scanning around me. This is definitely new... I think with a small nod. I remain in that spot, though move to lie down for a moment, resting my feet. I had been on them for a few days, only resting for a few hours each night to ensure I had enough energy to continue my travels the next morning, or while I ate whatever I managed to catch. I had been searching for the perfect place for me lately, somewhere I could call my own, be kept safe from the rain or the heat of the day. It was a lot harder than I had expected and though there was a part of me that whispered to go home, back to my pack, that part of me was easily silenced.
I lift my muzzle slightly and scent the air before licking my nose and letting my ears fall back slightly. I had come a long way from home and I wasn't going to turn tail and go back now. I was enjoying the excitement that came with rarely seeing the same thing for any longer than a day, if necessary. That same part wondered if they missed me, if they worried about me...
They most likely did, but they had to have known something of this sort was coming. I was more adventurous than most of my pack, after all... I had loved it with them, but I also loved what I had now...
[Alright, here goes nothing. Wanting to get back into the swing of things. Let me know what you think. :3]
