Long limbs carried a lithe black bodice over the murky land, just another ghost in a graveyard. A graveyard of humans' accomplishments, these structures long forgotten and slowly deteriorating. My sharp black gaze glared over the land, the land that instinctually called to me. Nostrils flaring, I took in the scents that were already familiar to me; rainwater and decay. Just two of my favorite things, indeed. I paused in my run, drawing to a halt and spinning about, eyeing no other horses on this land. This land? "No... My land." I murmured to myself. After a second, I reared up on powerful hindlegs and screamed it to the world, "The City Of The Fallen, is MINE! This terra, belongs to Fornever Ending!" With a thunderous clatter my hooves rang upon stone, my pace now a steady working canter. I would not be outdone, no, not in any aspect. I had great plans for this little kingdom of mine, and no one could stop me. Teeth bared, I worked into a gallop, bearing down on my city. Flying around the area, I set my borders and thoroughly claimed it as mine. Then I began to scout. Chasing all intruders out, I scoped out the buildings of the humans, finding several in excellent condition compared to the rest. Three in excellent condition-- everything else was standing, but with some more years they might not be.
Entering the first building, I noticed the sheer size of it. A warehouse, perhaps, in human life. It had all four walls and a sturdy roof-- it would make a good barn for my mares. A good place to keep my possessions. Squaring my jaw, I mentally planned what ought to go where, and took great care to remember to buy a A-grade chain to keep the single sliding door shut. Onto the second building. This one had many rooms, all splitting off a single long hallway. The rooms were spacious and had doors, all sliding that could be tied shut. I approved-- guest rooms, or rooms for very good toys? Leaving, I took notice of the single sliding door that was entrance to the building, and noted to buy another chain to hold it shut. Onto the last building. This was the most elaborate of the three, with large open windows that viewed the entire terra from the structure's position atop a hill, along with the other two. My room would be the topmost one, where I could see everything, from here to the Destiny Glen. I would know of all enemies before they came; very useful. Yes, these were my decisions because this was my territory.
Mine, mine, all mine! No one could tell me what to do here, no one could even try! I had set the borders, I made the rules! I controlled everything that went on here, every single square inch was mine and if you had a problem with that... Welcome to your worst nightmare.
